Frontiers of Political Science

Features: The book is titled "Frontiers of Political Science," which means its subject matter should not only be "political science" but also "frontier." By the author's understanding, the "frontier" of a discipline refers to new trends, new thoughts, new branches, new themes, new theories, and new methods in the development of the discipline, as well as research on major practical issues facing the contemporary world and China. Most of the content in this book indeed involves the "new things" in the development of contemporary political science and major political practice topics. However, some of the articles discussed are not purely political in nature but rather philosophical, sociological, or economic in scope; the time frame is not always "after the 1970s," as some topics are from before the 1970s, so it can be said that the book is somewhat inconsistent. This book is a carefully compiled collection of 50 academic papers (published between 1990 and 1999) by the author from various domestic academic journals and international seminars.
