Features: 《Shuangshuang Chinese Textbooks》 is a series of Chinese textbooks specifically designed for overseas students, suitable for secondary school students with some background in Chinese (used in weekend Chinese classes). The textbooks were developed through the collaborative effort of Wang Shuangshuang, a teacher from California, USA, and Chinese experts and scholars, based on eight years of teaching practice overseas. The series consists of 20 volumes, covering 2,500 characters, and includes learning from character recognition, pinyin, sentence patterns, short passages, to an initial systematic introduction to Chinese culture. The textbooks provide a broad overview of Chinese geography, history, philosophy, and other rich aspects of Chinese culture, offering a wide range of knowledge, strong, and an easy-to-understand approach, making them easy to teach and learn. All volumes are accompanied by CD-ROMs. This book is the seventh volume of 《Shuangshuang Chinese Textbooks》 and is suitable for third-grade Chinese students for semester use. This volume continues to introduce character radicals and homophones, adding exercises to reinforce the learning of radicals, laying a foundation for better memorization of characters. The text passages are approximately 500 words long, with content that is light and lively. The book includes 10 lessons, covering 136 characters and 122 vocabulary words. The course is designed for 12–14 teaching hours (each hour lasting 1.5 hours). By the seventh volume, students have accumulated knowledge of 710 characters. At this stage, students have a certain foundation in Chinese and are eager to learn more characters and hear more stories.
