Features: The eight-year War of Resistance was a national liberation war where the Chinese nation united to resist the enemy and save itself from extinction. During the war, Chongqing served as the wartime capital and provisional capital of the Nationalist government, the Far East command center of the World Anti-Fascist Alliance, and the political, military, economic, and cultural hub of the rear area. It left behind a wealth of historical and cultural heritage of the provisional capital. The photographs published in Chongqing Gele Mountain Provisional Capital Site were taken by Mr. Liao Qingyu, who grew up and worked long-term in Gele Mountain, after spending years traversing the waters and landscapes of Gele Mountain. On the 60th anniversary of the War of Resistance, it is hoped that the publication of this album will play a positive role in the study of the war history and provisional capital culture, contributing to national unification and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. This book introduces the rich historical and cultural heritage left behind in Chongqing during the War of Resistance, when it served as the wartime capital and provisional capital of the Nationalist government, the Far East command center of the World Anti-Fascist Alliance, and the political, military, economic, and cultural hub of the rear area.
