Features: A Miracle of Wuxia in the Post-Jin Yong Era, Touching Millions of Wuxia Fans. The original title of this book is "Heavenly Pride and Iron Blood," which is Feng Ge's debut work. It is now completely revised and newly presented! Liang Wenjing, originally a scholar, flees from war and travels to Sichuan with his father. Along the way, he encounters an assassination attempt on the Huai'an Prince of the Song Dynasty. Due to his resemblance to the prince, Wenjing unintentionally embarks on his own heroic legend. Xiao Yuling, from the Mongolian desert, is the disciple of Xiao Tianjue, known as "Black Waters Rushing, Sweeping the World." Though beautiful with a hint of mischief, she is naive and innocent when she first steps into the Jiangnan region, unaccustomed to the world. This book tells the love story between a foolish young man and a willful woman, intertwined with tales of heroism, righteousness, and the fight for the nation. Set in the late Southern Song Dynasty, when the Yuan army launched its second southern invasion, the Mongol army had just concluded its Western Expedition and nearly conquered all of Europe. The Song Dynasty, however, was holding on by a thread with only the Huai'an Prince as its last hope. Yet, just before the decisive battle, the Huai'an Prince was suddenly assassinated, his death silent and unnoticed.
I am grateful that the publication of the prequel gave me a chance to revisit my old dreams. In terms of technique, structure, and character development, the prequel's original text still seemed somewhat raw, so I made several additions and deletions, introducing new characters, such as the true identity of the Huai'an Prince, which was only vaguely mentioned in the original but now appears in the revised version. Additionally, I added a former lover of the Huai'an Prince, who engages in some amusing stories with the fake prince, Liang Wenjing. In the original text, apart from Bai Pu, the portrayal of the heroes in Sichuan was rather rough, so I worked on this aspect, adding a few distinctive figures from the martial world. Of course, the most significant revision was the romantic storyline between the male and female protagonists. In the original version, their mutual understanding, love, separation, and reunion were simplistic, and their personalities were one-dimensional. In the revised version, these issues have been improved to varying degrees, becoming more refined and harmonious. Perhaps this is not just a change in the technique of the novel but also a transformation in spiritual realm.
