Features: Against the backdrop of China's rapid economic growth, the constraints of natural resources on economic development have become increasingly evident. Therefore, it is highly necessary and urgent to conduct research on the sustainable utilization of natural resources. This book focuses on energy and ecological resources to explore how China can achieve the sustainable utilization of natural resources. The book is divided into four parts.
Part 1, consisting of four chapters, discusses sustainable utilization strategies for natural resources. Based on an analysis of the importance and challenges of sustainable resource utilization in China, it explores these strategies from the perspectives of the circular economy and global climate change. Taking the energy system as an example, it examines the economic impacts of different domestic environmental policies and carbon emission reduction measures using energy economic models, as well as the corresponding energy supply costs.
Part 2, with three chapters, discusses the problems encountered in sustainable resource utilization from an economic analysis perspective and proposes strategies to address them. Detailed case studies are provided on energy conservation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the use of biomass energy by SMEs.
Part 3, containing two chapters, elaborates on the systematic analysis framework and system design methods for sustainable resource utilization.
Part 4, with three chapters, presents a comprehensive case study on the management of natural resources in the Tarim River Basin. First, it examines the water management mechanism, then the forest and grassland resource management mechanism, and finally the integrated management of forest, grassland, and water resources.
