Seventeen-year-old Sun Xiaotian, after a breakup, cuts her hair short and runs away from home, only to accidentally become the assistant to the discouraged theater director Jiang Haiyang. She is then forced to live under the same roof as him. The world of a man in his thirties appears both irrational and inscrutable to Sun Xiaotian. In the process of helping to the romance between the theater director and her older sister, Sun Xiaotian stumbles upon the "multicolored" and even more hopeless side of Jiang Haiyang. Even more unexpectedly, Sun Xiaotian begins to question her own views on love. Love, commitment, and forever—when everything becomes uncertain, the only thing that remains clear is the warmth of memories.
