This book is a key research outcome from a four-year study on China's beef cattle industry. During the research process, in addition to other scientific activities, the researchers visited more than 400 relevant personnel in the beef cattle industry across 14 provinces in mainland China and Hong Kong. Additionally, two consumer surveys were conducted, involving nearly 2,000 households. The research findings were reported in academic journals, academic conferences, and a seminar held in Beijing in June 2000. This book compiles the diverse ideas of the researchers, providing a comprehensive analysis of China's beef cattle industry.
