Features: Since the reform and opening-up, China's private book distribution enterprises have gradually risen through market competition with the support of national policies and have achieved significant results. To provide a relatively centralized display of the overall situation of private book distribution enterprises and facilitate industry communication, thereby promoting the overall development of China's book industry, with the strong support of relevant leaders from the General Administration of Press and Publication and the press and publication bureaus of all provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, as well as the efforts of all editorial staff, we have compiled the book "Overview of China's Private Book Distribution." The "Overview" includes nearly 10,000 private book distribution enterprises and related industry enterprises across all provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China, providing a brief introduction to their scale, operations, and development status. To enhance the practicality of the book and expand its scope of application, we have also included a directory of major publishing houses, periodical houses, Xinhua Bookstores at or above the municipal level, and institutions with publishing and distribution majors. Additionally, we have selected and published national laws, regulations, policies on publishing and distribution, as well as relevant knowledge about book publishing and distribution. The directory of private book distribution enterprises in the "Overview" is provided by the press and publication bureaus of all provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions.
