Patient's question:
Recently, I saw on TV that many children suffer from cerebral palsy right after birth. My own child is about to be born. What are the symptoms of a cerebral palsy baby?Doctor's answer:
Most infants with cerebral palsy usually cry little or have a low cry and are excessively quiet. Some may cry excessively, be easily irritable, easily startled, or experience recurrent muscle twitches. Some children also have feeding difficulties after birth, such as weak sucking, swallowing difficulties, and poor oral closure. Their movements are uncoordinated, asymmetrical, and voluntary movements are rare. They often exhibit abnormal muscle tone, abnormal postures, and movement patterns.
