How long after pregnancy can it be detected?

Patient's question:

How long after getting pregnant can you find out? There was a case where a woman only discovered she was pregnant in early April, even though she might have conceived at the end of March. Can the due date be logically deduced from the date of conception? The woman is Type O blood, and the man is Type B. The baby has Type A blood. Is this due to the blood type being different from the mother, causing hemolytic disease of the newborn? Or is it impossible for a Type O mother to give birth to a Type A baby?

Doctor's answer:

Generally, a pregnancy test can be taken 10 days after cohabitation. If a blood test is conducted to check Hcg, it can usually be detected 7 days after cohabitation. A color Doppler ultrasound takes a longer time, at least 20 days after cohabitation are required. It is rare to detect the fertilized egg by the end of March. Usually, it is not possible to detect it within 7 days of delivery. Based on the estimated due date, it can only roughly determine the last menstrual period, but it cannot reveal the specific date of delivery.
