Features: This book focuses on the hot topic in the cardiovascular field, "Coronary Artery Disease and Collateral Circulation," as well as its neovascularization therapy. It collects the latest domestic and international data and research findings, combined with clinical practice, to compile the content. The book is divided into three parts, with a total of 31 chapters, organized in the order of basic knowledge of collateral circulation, common techniques, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Part One primarily introduces the formation, classification, contrast grading, myocardial ischemia reperfusion contrast characteristics of collateral circulation, as well as the clinical manifestations, formation mechanisms, and commonly used diagnostic techniques of acute and chronic myocardial ischemia and microembolism-promoted collateral circulation formation.
Part Two focuses on coronary artery disease and collateral circulation. It includes the role of collateral circulation in relieving coronary artery spasm, alleviating angina, reducing infarct size, preserving viable myocardium, improving exercise tolerance, enhancing myocardial diastolic blood flow, and cardiac rehabilitation.
Part Three covers the diagnosis, treatment, and exercise rehabilitation of coronary collateral circulation. It includes the evaluation of collateral circulation using percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) coronary angiography, quantitative assessment of collateral circulation using myocardial contrast echocardiography and non-radioactive colored microparticle methods, coronary angiography pulse response analysis for myocardial microcirculation, and the latest advancements in this field: cell transplantation and myocardial cell regeneration, the role of peripheral blood hematopoietic stem cells in treating coronary artery disease, ion channels in myocardial ischemic preconditioning, the impact of PTCA on hibernating myocardial contractility, laser disk angioplasty, traditional Chinese medicine and angiogenesis, exercise stress-induced HSP70 expression and myocardial ischemia reperfusion, major breakthroughs in gene technology for angiogenesis, collateral circulation formation, and improvement, as well as cell myocardial formation.
The book consists of 31 chapters and nearly 1 million words, with approximately 200 photographs and illustrations. It is suitable for reference by physicians in cardiology, cardiac surgery, geriatrics, health care for cadres, internal medicine, emergency centers, pediatrics, intensive care units (ICUs), and special examination departments, as well as for clinical physicians engaged in medical research and teaching.
