Features: Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is characterized by complex etiology, high incidence rate, high rate of misdiagnosis, and severe harm. The Third World Expert Conference on Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension classified PAH into over 30 types. This book was co-authored by physicians and patient members of the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Association of the United States and has been updated to its 3rd edition, becoming an important tool for the prevention and treatment of PAH in developed countries in Europe and America. The book covers the etiology, clinical symptoms, signs, various clinical examinations, basic treatment, medical drug therapy, and surgical treatment of PAH, as well as psychological care, nutritional therapy, daily life precautions, and PAH in children. At the end of the book, there is an appendix on iloprost crisis and a list of common drug terminology. The book comprehensively discusses the professional and life knowledge beneficial to the recovery of PAH patients, including both the professional treatment by expert physicians and the personal experiences of patients, along with vivid images. The book was translated by a group of young and middle-aged cardiovascular physicians from the Fuwai Cardiovascular Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. The chief editor is Professor Hu Dayi of the Shanghai Tongji University Medical College, who has made significant contributions to the development of PAH and cardiovascular diseases in China. They have specifically established a professional website: www.phachna.com, which has become the first purely charitable online diagnostic and treatment center for PAH and venous thrombosis in China, as well as the only Chinese training center recognized by the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Association of the United States. This book can be used for self-education by PAH patients, as well as for professional medical education for community physicians, cardiologists, pulmonologists, and immunologists who frequently encounter PAH patients.
