Features: The target audience for this book is students who wish to enter Japanese universities or specialized schools in the future, as well as beginners in learning Japanese, with the premise of using Japanese for instruction. For learners pursuing higher education in Japan, beginner-level Japanese study must meet the following conditions: First, systematically learn grammar to build a solid foundation and gradually develop strong knowledge application skills sufficient for higher education in the future; second, cultivate communication skills needed for daily life in Japan. In compiling this book, we focused on these two aspects with the goal of improving learners' language proficiency. Specifically, we integrate sentence patterns into real-life scenarios, extracting them gradually to accumulate knowledge. Therefore, we selected sentence patterns with easily understandable meanings and close relevance to learners' lives from daily life contexts to create the lessons. Additionally, to help learners visually understand and vividly convey scenarios, this book extensively uses illustrations. The entire book consists of "Japanese Pronunciation," "Daily Conversations," and 36 lessons. (The first volume includes "Japanese Pronunciation," "Daily Conversations," and lessons 1-9; the second volume includes lessons 10-18; the third volume includes lessons 19-27; the fourth volume includes lessons 28-36). The "Daily Conversations" section features basic greetings and shopping-related expressions. The New Culture Japanese series is a Japanese textbook designed for beginner learners of Japanese. Its content is closely related to daily life, accompanied by rich illustrations to aid visual comprehension. Each lesson is composed of "Text," "Sentence Patterns," "Exercises," and "Practice Questions."
Text: The "Text" introduces sentence patterns based on various scenarios learners might encounter while living in Japan or situations they find interesting. The "Text" primarily consists of dialogues but also includes letters and diaries. The content of each lesson varies, with some focusing on comprehension, while others emphasize typical dialogues and model texts.
Sentence Patterns: New sentence patterns introduced in each lesson are accompanied by example dialogues that correspond to them, helping learners understand their meanings. If new verb conjugations appear, a comprehensive conjugation table is also provided.
Exercises: New learning items are presented in the form of dialogues, with short substitution exercises to help learners fully grasp their usage and express themselves freely.
Practice Questions: The "Practice Questions" summarize the learning content of each lesson and can be used in class or as homework. Through self-assessment using the "Practice Questions," learners can better understand their progress.
