Yifeng Collection Annotations

Author: Wang Ruan (Song) / Zhu Ruixi / Sun Jiahua (Annotations)
Publisher:
Publication Date: 2006-04-01
Features: The original work was a collection of poems and prose. By the early Qing Dynasty, the compilers of the Siku Quanshu selected it from Huang Zuan's printed edition from Jin'an, calling it Yifeng Ji. However, only the poems titled "He Yuanming" and above remain, clearly not from the original printing. Hu Sijing, a native of Xinchang, when including Yifeng Ji in the Yuzhang Congshu, collated the Siku Quanshu edition with the Lishiyi Qiu Guan manuscript. From then on, Yifeng Ji became Wang Ruan's poetry collection. This book uses the Song Yuan 3rd year edition (abbreviated as "Song Edition") as the base text, collating it with the Siku Quanshu edition (abbreviated as "Siku Edition") and the Yuzhang Congshu edition (abbreviated as "Yuzhang Edition"), while also referencing the Qing manuscript preserved in the Beijing Library, Fu Zengxiang's annotations to the Yuzhang Edition, and the first collection of Songshi Chao (Zhonghua Book Company, December 1986 edition). Additionally, for the convenience of readers, annotations have been provided for difficult passages. Furthermore, although the Song Edition has a preface with a table of contents, the titles of the poems listed are brief, such as "One Poem of Climbing Miao Peak with Huiweng," omitting the phrase "with Huiweng"; and "One Poem in the Rhyme of Chen Jiu's Term Completion in Changguo," shortened to "One Poem in Chen Jiu's Rhyme." In light of this, a new table of contents has been compiled based on the original preface, referencing the full titles of each poem and prose.
