Author: Qi Yudai

Publishing Date: 2006-01-01
Features: This book differs from the "Technical Specification for Roofing Engineering." It is an interpretation, extension, and application of the "Specification," combining relevant materials and engineering practices in a visually engaging format, making it easy to understand and remember. It provides valuable assistance to architectural designers and professionals engaged in building waterproofing and building management in the correct use and implementation of the specification. This book can serve as a training textbook for waterproofing professionals and also as a reference for architecture majors in universities and colleges.
The "Complete Collection of Current Architectural Design Specifications," "Complete Collection of Current Architectural Structure Specifications," and "Complete Collection of Current Construction Specifications" consist of sixteen volumes and over one hundred specifications, which have been published successively and have a broad scope and significant influence. These specifications are approved and issued by relevant ministries and commissions of the State Council and are implemented nationwide as mandatory or recommended standards. Therefore, the language is precise, concise, and comprehensive, representing the standard expression form commonly used in the architectural field in China. They serve as the criteria and basis universally followed by the architectural community, becoming essential reference books on the desks of readers across the nation and exerting a profound influence.
Due to the solemnity, legal nature, authority, and formal requirements of the specifications, readers may have varying levels of understanding when reading and interpreting them. In light of this, we plan to compile a series titled "Complete Collection of Illustrated Architectural Specifications." From the perspective of the authors' practical experience in learning and implementing specifications, this series will present personal interpretations of the specifications in a visual and illustrative manner to help readers better learn and apply them.
The currently issued architectural specifications cover a wide range and a substantial number. For the "Complete Collection of Illustrated Architectural Specifications," we plan to start with the most commonly used specifications in architectural design and gradually expand to meet the needs of readers.
This series can serve as a reference for technical personnel and cadres engaged in architectural management, design, construction, supervision, and teaching. It is also suitable for architecture students in universities and colleges and those preparing for architectural registration examinations.
Due to the authors' limitations, the first batch of books released in a short period of time may contain numerous errors and shortcomings. We sincerely hope readers will discover and provide constructive feedback during use to help us continuously improve and refine the books.
During the writing process of this book, we received strong support from technical personnel of several institutions, including Shandong University of Construction Engineering, Shandong University, Shandong Provincial Institute of Architectural Design, Shandong Provincial Institute of Environmental Protection and Science Design, Jinan Design Institute, and Jinan Chemical Engineering Design Institute. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of them.
