Features: Among the writers in China's literary scene, Hai Yan is perhaps the only one who has simultaneously captured the attention of the book market and the glory of the screen with both novels and television dramas. From The Cop on the Beat to A Love Story in the Wind and Snow; from Never Say Goodbye to Your Life Is So Passionate; from Jade Beauty to How to Save My Love; from Mundane Life to Deep Prison, Hai Yan has carved out his own path at the intersection of television and novels. Given this, Hai Yan's television literary scripts possess an irreplaceable artistic charm. They are not just ordinary film and television scripts, but a brand-new concept of television novels. Readers can enjoy the authentic essence of the author's novels while also appreciating the thrilling scenes that are best experienced on the television screen—truly a win-win situation. This series has so far collected eight of Hai Yan's television novels, and it is hoped that it will bring an unexpected surprise to readers and viewers who are deeply devoted to both his novels and dramas. Sunlight Blooms Like Flowers tells the story of a prison guard who, after enduring various hardships, grows from superficiality to maturity. The novel retains the characteristics of "Hai Yan novels": perfect idol drama characters, perilous conspiracies, a sense of honor for the country, and tangled romantic entanglements. In terms of character development and plot execution, the novel also demonstrates new features. Hai Yan is no longer just content with telling a thrilling story of a police officer catching thieves, but instead focuses more on the inner awakening and growth of the protagonist. At the same time, he meticulously depicts the life in modern prisons and how this environment transforms the psychology and personality of inmates, leaving readers deeply reflective.
