Is it normal to have stage 3 placental maturity at 37 weeks of pregnancy?

Patient's question:

I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially around my period days. I'm very worried it might affect fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness. Could you please tell me if it's normal for the placenta to be at stage 3 maturity at 37 weeks of pregnancy?

Doctor's answer:

Ectopic pregnancy cannot be detected with a pregnancy test. If ectopic pregnancy can be detected with a pregnancy test, it can be confirmed with an ultrasound if necessary. Ectopic pregnancy is related to factors such as tubal inflammation, tubal surgery, intrauterine device placement, tubal developmental abnormalities or functional disorders, fertilized egg wandering, and tumor compression around the fallopian tubes. When a woman experiences symptoms like abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding after a missed period of 6-10 weeks with a positive urine pregnancy test, ectopic pregnancy should be highly suspected. If a transvaginal ultrasound does not show a gestational sac in the uterine cavity, ectopic pregnancy can be confirmed in most cases.
