Does the uterine polyp affect future pregnancy?

Patient's question:

Previously, an ultrasound revealed two echo masses, about 1 cm in size, and occasional pain in the lower left abdomen. After taking anti-inflammatory medication, the echo masses still exist, and the doctor recommended a hysteroscopy to remove them. However, I am now pregnant. Could this be affected? There are no bleeding symptoms after pregnancy, everything is fine, just occasional slight pain.

Doctor's answer:

Analysis of the condition: Uterine polyps are about 1 centimeter in size, which is not a significant issue and will not affect the child.
Advice: After one week, some ultrasound examinations can be performed to check the position of the polyps and the gestational sac. If the distance between them is far, it will not affect the child, similar to the case of uterine fibroids combined with pregnancy. If the fibroids do not grow significantly, the child can still grow healthily. Therefore, it is recommended to always undergo regular prenatal examinations.
