Features: Malignant tumors are not a single disease but rather a group of diseases with similar characteristics, representing a significant challenge for various clinical disciplines. Currently, malignant tumors remain one of the main causes of threats to human health and death. In the fight against tumors, humans have recognized that truly overcoming tumors primarily involves two aspects: one is understanding how tumors occur, which is the study of etiology, allowing for effective prevention. The other is how to detect tumors early, enabling effective treatment. It is now evident that the etiology of tumors may be the result of multiple factors acting together, but completely controlling tumors from an etiological perspective still has a long way to go. In reality, whether it is basic research on etiology or clinical diagnosis and treatment research, the ultimate goal is to prolong patients' survival time and improve their quality of life, ensuring a favorable prognosis. Therefore, it is very necessary to strengthen the exploration of the laws of tumor prognosis. Improving the level of early diagnosis, selecting reasonable treatment plans based on different pathological types and clinical stages, and avoiding excessive and inappropriate treatment all have practical significance for tumor prognosis.
