Features: History is marked by the imprint of its time, as well as the passion and ideals of historians. Only by standing from the perspective of social development can one truly understand and create brilliant history. Therefore, I believe that a good historical work should be grounded in a broad vision, rather than being confined to numerous details, deliberately imposing rigid theoretical frameworks and using hypothetical conclusions to seek out numerous arguments. Under the dogmatic and metaphysical research model, research often yields results even before it begins, or it falls into narrow literary debates, losing the source of thought and straying far from the journey of the human spirit. Historical works should not merely be tools that only scholars can understand, but should instead inspire people's wisdom and call for the spirit of humanity. This treatise from the classification of history in Ming Dynasty bibliographic works, while grasping the Ming scholars' understanding of the development of history and the distinctions of historical books, also examines the characteristics that emerged in the development of Ming Dynasty history. Divided into two stages by the Zhengde era of the Ming Dynasty, it showcases the characteristics and trends of Ming Dynasty historical development.
