Don’t look far away, for he is right beside us, this person is you, me, and every one of us! —French literary giant Alexandre Dumas Lock the most difficult part of your soul, lead your own ability, lead your captives, be the Caesar of your own kingdom. —British renowned writer and poet John Milton A truly human being must be the master of his own kingdom. —French famous poet Percy Bysshe Shelley We have entered the 21st century, we are in an information age. Can the success principles summarized by Marden still apply? Yes, information has indeed changed people’s lifestyles, but it hasn’t changed the basic principles of life. No matter how modern technology evolves, and how systems and organizational methods change, the laws of life and the transformation of human weaknesses remain unchanged. Therefore, the laws of failure for the second, third types of people, as well as the success of the th type of people summarized by Marden have not changed. The concept of true self-education that Marden summarized is still applicable. Based on this, we spent nearly three years collecting Marden’s original English works from abroad and translated and organized them. On the eve of the new year in 2006, this set of "Marden’s Complete Works on Success" was born! Marden’s own life is a model of transforming poverty into success. His inspiring and enlightening literature has forged the great "Marden Spirit," which has always encouraged young people around the world to move forward! We hope that young people in China will step into Marden’s world, read his moving words, feel the power he imparts, discover their greatest potential, and realize the best version of themselves.
