Patient's question:
I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried about it affecting my fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness. Could you please explain what causes ovulation bleeding with abdominal pain?Doctor's answer:
Your condition may be caused by cold deficiency, leading to menstrual cramps. During the menstrual period and its surrounding days, you may experience pain in the lower abdomen or lower back, which can even radiate to the sacrum. The pain typically recurs with each menstrual cycle. In severe cases, it may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, profuse cold sweat, cold hands and feet, or even fainting.Consideration should be given to treatments such as acupuncture, physiotherapy, and massage. In brachytherapy treatment, although vaginal applicators come in various diameters, there is a lack of a design that allows for eccentric positioning of the radiation source. However, common conditions like vaginal cancer, cervical cancer with vaginal invasion, vaginal metastatic cancer, or vaginal remnants or recurrences after cervical cancer treatment often have lesions that are offset to one side of the vagina. Simply using a standard vaginal applicator would expose the entire vagina to the same dose, which is not conducive to increasing the dose at the lesion site while protecting the normal vaginal mucosa.
Here, we introduce a simple homemade vaginal cylinder that allows for eccentric treatment.
