He is a member of the Shanghai Fine Arts Association and the Shanghai Wu Changshuo Art Research Association, holding the title of Associate Research Fellow. Wang Xueming specializes in flowers and birds, with additional expertise in landscapes and figures. Since the 1970s, he has received guidance from Mr. Cheng Shifan; in the 1980s, he joined the Shanghai Chinese Painting Institute's flower-and-bird painting training class, where he was personally instructed by Mr. Tang Yun. His works have been selected for national and provincial/city fine arts exhibitions and published by Jiangsu People's Publishing House, Shanghai People's Publishing House, and Shanghai Fine Arts Publishing House. His artistic achievements have been recorded in various dictionaries, including China Artists. Since the 1990s, he has dedicated himself to the study of peony painting. His peony paintings are characterized by their ancient simplicity, elegance, and appeal to both connoisseurs and the general public. He has published works such as Wang Xueming Peony Painting Collection and Wang Xueming Peony Painting Selection. The Shanghai Education Television Station's program Poetic Art featured a special introduction to Wang Xueming's peony painting art in episode 635.
