Patient's question:
I am very scared when this happens. I often have lower abdominal pain and don't know how to solve it, so I came here for consultation. Could you please tell me what tests should be done in the second trimester of pregnancy?Doctor's answer:
Pregnancy Week 12: Maternity RegistrationGenerally, during the process of applying for the antenatal certificate, some blood, urine, and blood transfusion screening tests are conducted.
Between Week 14 and Week 20: Down syndrome screening.
If necessary, an amniocentesis may be performed.
Between Week 20 and Week 28: A 4D ultrasound examination.
Subsequently, examinations are conducted at Week 24, Week 28, Week 30, Week 32, Week 34, Week 36, Week 37, Week 38, Week 39, and Week 40.
Each examination includes measuring weight and blood pressure, usually a complete blood count and a urinalysis.
Starting at Week 30, fundal height, abdominal circumference, and fetal heartbeat are measured.
At Week 36, a color Doppler ultrasound is performed.
Starting at Week 36, fetal heart rate monitoring and umbilical cord blood flow analysis are conducted with each examination.
