The development of modern medicine has provided excellent conditions for improving the health level of the general public. One of the most important tasks or missions for healthcare professionals is to ensure that every patient, as well as healthy individuals, benefits from the advancements of modern medicine. However, for a long time, due to historical and practical reasons, there has been a severe imbalance in the medical information between healthcare professionals and the general public, especially patients. Healthcare professionals have access to a vast amount of medical knowledge, while patients and their families are in a relatively disadvantaged position. Healthcare professionals have the responsibility and obligation to reduce this imbalance through various means, including education and publicity. In this sense, the asthma education and management work we have been committed to for over ten years is essentially an effort to address the imbalance in medical information on asthma prevention and treatment between us and asthma patients. Objectively speaking, these efforts have achieved significant results, but we still need to continue our efforts in the future.
Lastly, it should be noted that the articles included in this book are only a part of the rich experiences and insights of the asthma patients in preventing and controlling asthma. Due to the differences in the experiences and cultural backgrounds of the different authors, the style and views of each article vary.
