Doctor's answer:
Hello: Cervical erosion is a common inflammation of the female reproductive tract, classified into three degrees—mild, moderate, and severe—based on the proportion of the erosion area on the cervix. Treatment methods include non-traumatic and traumatic treatments. Local treatment using medication applied vaginally is a non-traumatic approach, but this method is ineffective for cervical erosion of moderate or greater severity. Traumatic treatment methods involve local cervical treatment using phototherapy, cryotherapy, laser, electrocautery, and other techniques. This method may cause minor local damage to the cervix and sometimes affect its ability to dilate during childbirth, but it does not lead to infertility. In contrast, severe cervical erosion or cases complicated with acute infection, if left untreated, can result in infertility. Therefore, for women who have not borne children and are suffering from cervical erosion without affecting pregnancy or acute infection, cervical laser treatment can be performed after childbirth.
