What should I do if there are still a lot of secretions after cervical erosion surgery?

Patient's question:

Hello! I had a cervical erosion surgery a week ago, but I still have a lot of discharge. I have always loved exercising and used to do aerobics every night. Could you please tell me when I can resume exercising? Thank you!

Doctor's answer:

Generally, about 10 days after the LEEP procedure, there may be bleeding during the crust shedding period. Currently, the discharge is yellow, which suggests there might still be a vaginal infection. This usually does not affect glandular secretion, but in some cases, it may lead to cervical stenosis. After the menstrual period is clean, refrain from sexual activity and check the wound recovery. It is recommended that you visit a regular hospital after your period to check the recovery of your cervix. Avoid sexual activity and tub baths for one month after the surgery. Also, avoid fatigue and cold exposure, and take oral medication for anti-inflammatory treatment.
