Features: As the sister volume to Famous Scholars of the Chinese Academic Forest: Anthology, Famous Scholars of the Chinese Academic Forest: Interviews was published subsequently. Most of the texts in the Interviews were reviewed by me when I worked at the Wen Wei Po. Famous Scholars of the Chinese Academic Forest: Anthology and Famous Scholars of the Chinese Academic Forest: Interviews differ in focus. The former emphasizes academic topics and research, exuding a strong scholarly atmosphere, while the latter focuses more on popularizing academia, featuring lively and engaging academic promotions at irregular intervals. The former showcases the works and achievements of scholars and experts, while the latter is more about the editor's own contributions and involvement. The former centers on the construction and discussion of disciplinary research, whereas the latter pays greater attention to reviewing and promoting scholars and their areas of expertise. Truly, they are different in style yet complementary, each with its own charm, and they enhance each other. These two collections vividly reflect the flourishing academic scene of the "Academic Forest" at the time and demonstrate the Wen Wei Po's tradition of gathering literary-minded individuals, welcoming talents, respecting knowledge, and valuing expertise. They more faithfully record Comrade Shi Xuanyuan's decades of dedication to the "Academic Forest," his active contributions and commendable achievements in promoting Chinese academic culture and adding distinctive features to the Wen Wei Po.
