How to treat moderate cervical erosion

Patient's question:

Detailed medical condition and consultation purpose: I found mild to moderate cervical erosion yesterday, along with candidal vaginitis and some pelvic effusion. The doctor prescribed some topical medications for me! Should I go somewhere else for a second opinion? Is it serious? I haven't given birth yet, and I'm very worried.
First follow-up question: Thank you, doctor. Can it be treated with medication?

Doctor's answer:

Cervical erosion is the most common gynecological disease. Due to the stimulation of inflammatory secretions, the squamous epithelial cells of the cervical canal external orifice fall off and are covered by proliferated columnar epithelium. The surface is bright red, smooth, or uneven. In terms of treatment, physical therapy can be used—suitable for patients with moderate cervical erosion and severe cervical erosion. Common methods include electrocautery, laser therapy, and cryotherapy. Additionally, medication can be combined. Potassium dichromate solution can be applied to the affected area with a cotton swab, carefully dabbing the medication.
