Patient's question:

Uterine adnexa:
Posterior uterus 45MM36MM46MM. Endometrial thickness 10MM. Right ovary 3127MM. Left ovary 3421MM. 22MM fluid observed posterior to the uterus.
Ultrasound findings:
Uterine adnexa:
Small amount of fluid in the pelvis
I had an ultrasound on 10.14. At that time, the endometrium was 5MM.
Doctor's answer:
Pelvic effusion, during the ovulation period and early pregnancy, may produce physiological pelvic effusion of up to 10mm, which is normal and generally resolves on its own within one or two months.Outside of the ovulation period and early pregnancy, the presence of effusion is usually pathological and requires active treatment. The smaller the effusion, the earlier treatment should be sought. Most pelvic effusions are caused by inflammation, specifically due to chronic pelvic inflammatory fluid leakage. A few cases are caused by ectopic pregnancy rupture, corpus luteum rupture, pelvic abscess, chocolate cysts, or ovarian cancer.
