How to regulate poor digestion during pregnancy

Patient's question:

Medical Description: My period arrived on June 30th, and on the 1st, I experienced early pregnancy symptoms. I haven't been eating much because the symptoms were severe, and I had a strong aversion to food. I've only been eating once a day. In the past two days, the symptoms have slightly subsided, but I still feel like I can't digest my food properly after eating. However, I don't eat much anyway—just a little each time. After eating in the morning (very little), I lose my appetite and feel uncomfortable, as if I can't digest it properly. I don't even want to eat fruits, and I can't bring myself to eat. I'm actually craving food, but my stomach can't accept it. It seems like I can only eat a little bit in a day.
History of Treatment and Effects: I haven't received any treatment.
Help Needed: What medication can help with digestion? I don't know if Jianwei Xiaoshi Pian (a common Chinese digestive aid) would be helpful.

Doctor's answer:

You should continue with fetal preservation if you have signs of miscarriage. You currently have abdominal distension, and the bowel sounds indicate indigestion.
Recommendations:
For fetal preservation, you can take 3-5 packets of traditional Chinese medicine monthly until the seventh month of pregnancy. Also, focus on improving nutrition, getting plenty of rest, avoiding heavy physical labor, and undergoing prenatal check-ups once a month.
For your current indigestion symptoms, avoid eating raw or cold foods. You can take Lactic Acid Bacteria Tablets and Intestinal Recovery Capsules. It’s advisable to consume more light and easily digestible foods, such as congee, soy milk, milk, and fruits. Limit sweet and greasy, hard-to-digest foods like meat, seafood, and processed foods. Once your appetite improves, you can gradually increase protein-rich foods like meat, fish, shrimp, and soy products.
Additional Recommendations:
Rest is essential. Mild diarrhea may improve with rest, but if symptoms are severe or lead to dehydration, seek medical attention promptly to avoid affecting the baby’s health!
