Where is "Baijiajiangtan"? China Central Television Channel 10. Highly advanced television technology has given humanity a shortcut, allowing us to have such a close connection with knowledge! The names of Yang Zhenning, Lee Tsung-Dao, Ding Zhongzhong, Zhou Ruchang, Ye Jialiying, Bai Chunli, Li Yinong, Feng Jicai, and Long Yingtai are passed down on the stage built by light and shadow, transmitting the spirit of humanity. This spirit is the driving force for the continuation of civilization and the foundation of human survival. Let knowledge be tangible, let thoughts be touchable, and let scholars around the world share the same feelings with us in the sacred hall of light and shadow—possessing knowledge is indeed a blessing. After more than a thousand sunrises and sunsets, the greatest achievement of "Baijiajiangtan" is more than seven hundred heavy-duty tapes. Seven hundred forty-five-minute segments should be considered a considerable duration for a television program, especially when this duration records the essence of human thought. How can we promote and carry forward these essence of human thought? We thought of publishing, which is a way that is both collectible and convenient for study. Thanks to the strong support of China Renmin University Press, we selected the content of five hundred lectures and produced CDs, publishing them in series; at the same time, we published nearly thirty related books to meet the different knowledge-seeking needs of people who love knowledge.
