Shi Fuliang, originally named Shi Cuntong, was a native of Jinhua, Zhejiang, a political activist and scholar during the period of the Chinese democratic revolution. He was one of the earliest members of the Communist Party of China and made significant contributions to its founding and development. After the failure of the National Revolution, he left the party and engaged in factional activities, beginning a career of withdrawing from politics and focusing on the reorganization of the Min Party. However, he soon left again due to disagreements in political views. From then on, he withdrew from all factional activities and began a scholarly career dedicated to writing.
