Features: Zhongnanhai, a solemn and sacred place. Through the ages, it has left behind countless stories worth savoring. "Chunouzhai," a lesser-known place within Zhongnanhai. It was here that Tian Ling, a student of the Dance Troupe of the People's Liberation Army Art Troupe, a child soldier wearing a red scarf, first met the Great Leader Chairman Mao Zedong. As Tian Ling grew strong under the sunshine, she hadn't yet had time to savor the taste of happiness, still immersed in her fantasies about the future, a historic political movement thrust her into the storms of life. In adversity, she turned to Chairman Mao. With the passage of time and the hardships of life, Tian Ling's journey of searching high and low was marked by the care and teachings of Chairman Mao, which brewed the sweetest wine in her life. As the years went by, the taste became even richer. The interactions between the leader of the Republic and a young soldier were thus etched into the final years of Chairman Mao's life and into Tian Ling's unforgettable memories. To commemorate the 110th anniversary of Chairman Mao's birth, the author, from the perspective and reflections of a member of the Art Troupe, objectively and fairly records some of the things she witnessed and encountered.
