Did not have children after six months of marriage, is it because of my dysmenorrhea?

Patient's question:

Detailed medical condition and consultation purpose: I have been married for half a year and have not taken any measures, but have not been able to get pregnant. I hope to find a solution here.
Medical history: I have a history of dysmenorrhea, which has lasted for almost two years. In the past year and a half, I have taken emergency contraception twice.

Doctor's answer:

Hello:
It is not clear whether it is related to menstrual cramps, but menstrual cramps require active examination and treatment.
Menstrual cramps refer to lower abdominal pain or a sense of heaviness and distension during or before menstruation, to the extent that it affects daily life and work quality. They are divided into primary and secondary types. Primary menstrual cramps are common in adolescents and have no specific identifiable cause, possibly related to spasmodic contractions of the uterine muscles during the menstrual period. This type of cramp often disappears on its own after marriage and childbirth.
Menstrual cramps manifest as paroxysmal lower abdominal pain, sometimes radiating to the vagina, anus, etc., accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, frequent urination, and diarrhea. The pain can last for several hours or 1–2 days, and in some cases, symptoms improve after the flow of menstrual blood. Some menstrual cramps are caused by conditions such as uterine fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease, or endometriosis, known as secondary menstrual cramps, and should be treated based on the underlying cause.
Treatment for menstrual cramps:
(1) Pay attention to menstrual hygiene, maintain a positive and cheerful mood, and avoid strenuous exercise and excessive fatigue.
(2) Take oral pain relievers, primarily prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors, such as indomethacin or ibuprofen, to alleviate pain.
(3) Traditional Chinese medicine treatment: Products like Pin Fu Xi Fei Fu Er Xin and Nu Ke Jin Dan can improve symptoms by clearing heat, promoting diuresis, activating blood circulation, and regulating the uterine climate. If menstrual cramps are caused by endometriosis, Chinese medicine like Yi Wei Ning can be used to treat them by tonifying the kidneys and promoting blood circulation.
