How to solve the problem of having two menstrual periods in one month

Patient's question:

I have been experiencing menstrual cycles twice a month for over a year. I have been married for a year but have not yet become pregnant. During this period, I have taken many medications to regulate my period. Some doctors suggested it was due to tubal bleeding and prescribed Fertilex, which I took for several months, but it had no effect. Is this condition preventing me from getting pregnant? I really hope to have a baby. Please give me some good advice.
Additionally, I have had an ultrasound that showed my uterus is smaller than normal, but other results were normal. I also had an estrogen test, which was normal, but I still have periods every half month.

Doctor's answer:

Hello: This may be ovulation bleeding.
During the mid-cycle, i.e., the ovulation period, a temporary decline in estrogen levels causes the endometrium to lose hormonal support, leading to partial endometrial shedding and regular vaginal bleeding, known as ovulation bleeding. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is referred to as "intermenstrual bleeding."
1. Western Medicine Treatment: Diethylstilbestrol 0.25–0.5 mg per day, starting 3 days before ovulation and stopping 2–3 days after the bleeding stops.
2. Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment: Liuwei Dihuang Wan, Gujing Wan, and Xuefu Zhuyu Wan.
Prevention and Care
1. Pay attention to menstrual and postpartum health care, maintain external genital hygiene, and prevent pelvic infection.
2. Keep a calm mood and avoid excessive stress.
