Features: This book is a textbook for higher vocational colleges, covering the fields of centralized control operation, thermal power equipment operation and maintenance. It can also serve as training material for intermediate and advanced technicians in the same profession and is reference material for relevant engineering technicians. The book is divided into two parts: Engineering Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, with a total of twelve chapters. Part 1 Engineering Thermodynamics mainly discusses fundamental knowledge of thermodynamics, basic laws of thermodynamics, thermodynamic properties and processes of ideal gases, properties of steam, flow patterns and calculations of steam, and analysis and calculations of steam power cycles. Part 2 Heat Transfer introduces the basic concepts and fundamental principles of heat conduction, convective heat transfer, and radiant heat transfer, as well as the analysis and calculations of heat transfer processes, heat transfer calculations and comprehensive analysis of heat exchangers. Each chapter includes examples, followed by review questions and exercises. An enthalpy-entropy diagram of steam is provided at the end of the book for readers to refer to when performing thermodynamic calculations. This book adopts the legal units of measurement of the People's Republic of China.
