As the first specialized business-style magazine in China dedicated to exploring the cultural industry, we will align the design of our and content with the standards of Business Week. We will highlight the significance of this magazine as a platform for exchange in the cultural industry development. Therefore, the purpose of this magazine is to provide a comprehensive and in-depth report on the development process of China's cultural industry, explore innovative concepts, forward-looking strategies, and effective business models in various sectors of the cultural industry, analyze the relevant experiences and lessons learned from the development of the cultural industry abroad, and the management wisdom of multinational companies, to offer an exchange platform and forum for professionals in the cultural industry, cultural workers, and students studying the cultural industry in China. At the same time, we aim to mobilize everyone to contribute to the industrial development of China's cultural industry by doing something meaningful.
It is well known that China's cultural industry has entered a period of rapid development, with corporate investment and government support complementing each other. The reform of the cultural affairs system is in full swing. Driven by practical needs, many universities have also launched cultural industry management programs to strengthen talent cultivation. Internationally, the integration of markets has made the cultural industry one of the main windows for countries to compete in soft power. The experience of developed countries shows that a nation's prosperity and strength are closely linked to the intensity and level of its cultural industry development. In China, which strives to build a harmonious society, it is urgent to find new growth points, boost domestic demand, improve employment levels, promote industrial upgrading, and enhance international competitiveness in culture through the development of the cultural industry.
Therefore, we believe that establishing Peking University Cultural Industry and providing a platform for related parties to offer advice and suggestions for promoting the development of the cultural industry is a trend of the times and one of the specific measures to guide theoretical research in the cultural industry towards practical application. To ensure continuity, Peking University Cultural Industry will be published quarterly. In terms of design, the magazine balances reporting on the joint efforts of industry, academia, and research to promote the industrialization of the cultural industry and discussing the management of cultural enterprises and cultural affairs. It features series such as "Interviews with Experts," "Investment Analysis," "Special Reports," "Policy Interpretation and Institutional Reform," "Management Forum," "University Hall," "Celebrity Management," "Case Library," "Regional Navigation," "Global Perspectives," "Executive Digest," and "Windows." Among these, "Special Reports" focus on a specific theme each issue, aiming to help grasp industry trends and provide systematic and comprehensive information support and theoretical analysis for governments and enterprises in formulating strategies and seeking effective business models.
