Patient's question:
I have HPV 52, and I also have uterine fibroids, which are 45mm 31mm. Do I need to have them removed? Is it the next step to cancer?Doctor's answer:
Uterine fibroids often manifest as changes in menstruation, abdominal pain, increased vaginal discharge, infertility, and secondary anemia. If there are fibroids but the clinical symptoms are not obvious and the fibroids are small, treatment may not be necessary. If there are already clinical symptoms but they are not severe, without anemia, and the fibroids are smaller than 5 cm, medication can be used first. Some antagonistic hormone drugs can be taken to shrink the fibroids.
