Record Hu Yuzhi

Features: The first edition of Reminiscence of Hu Yuzhi was printed in Hong Kong. I sent a copy to Comrade Ye Laisi, who was bedridden, asking him to read it when he felt well and tell me if there was anything incorrect or inappropriate in it. I knew very well that Comrade Ye had a deep connection with the elderly Hu Yuzhi and had fought side by side for the world language movement and the cause of language reform for over half a century. The author of this book has been a close friend of Hu Yuzhi for decades. He recalls the past with heartfelt and expressive writing, composing thirty-four essays in one go, each simple yet touching. The vivid images of many patriotic intellectuals deeply inspire readers, and Lü Yi also records the footsteps of this era.
