New Empiricism

Features: The overall concept of this book has undergone a change, and as a result, it has not been possible to take into account the broad cultural, social, economic, and political background of this philosophical movement during the middle period. It has also been impossible to adequately introduce the contributions of the "students" and core members of the "Vienna Circle" (as Wittgenstein referred to the Schlick circle), and even mentioning this would be impossible. According to an earlier plan, there should have been ten additional chapters dedicated to this urgently needed work. This would have further expanded the already extended length of the book. Additionally, I must impose another limitation: the time span originally intended to be covered in this book was extended to the 1950s and 1960s, including the later works of philosophers who emigrated to the United States, such as Carnap, Feigl, Hempel, and Menger. However, in its current form, it basically only focuses on an introduction to the heyday of the Vienna Circle.
