Features: The Collection of Poems and Ci by Jiang Kui of the Song Dynasty. Jiang Kui was born around the 25th year of the Shaoxing era (1155 AD) in the Southern Song Dynasty and died in the 13th year of the Jianding era (1220 AD). He was a great ci poet of the Southern Song Dynasty. His poems also possess a unique style. The ci poetry of the Song Dynasty initially inherited the graceful and delicate style of the Five Dynasties period. Later, Liu Yong and Zhou Bangyan refined the musicality of the ci, while Su Shi pioneered the bold and unrestrained style. After the Southern Song Dynasty fell, the nation suffered severe oppression, and ci poets were often moved by patriotic fervor, expressing their sentiments through passionate and melancholic songs. Jiang Kui was deeply influenced by Zhou Bangyan but also absorbed the strengths of other schools, so his ci poems are sincere in emotion, concise in language, well-organized, melodious in rhythm, and possess a high level of artistic quality. The "" (Slow Tune of Yangzhou) and the ci poems he collaborated on with Xin Qiji in the collection also reflect a certain patriotic sentiment while maintaining a bold style. His artistic achievements had a significant impact on later ci poets. The collection includes 17 ci poems, each annotated with the contemporary gongchi musical notation, which is the only surviving musical notation for Song Dynasty ci poetry and an important document in the history of music. The collection contains three types of works: poems, poetic commentaries, and songs, each meticulously edited and published using the earliest and best available manuscripts.
