Features: The author has been engaged in aesthetic education for over ten years. In the autumn of 1996, at the National Aesthetic Education Conference, he submitted and presented the paper "The Indispensable Role of Aesthetic Education in Education," criticizing the erroneous view that moral education substitutes for aesthetic education and conflates art education with aesthetic education. He proposed that aesthetic education is irreplaceable by other forms of education and explored the dialectical relationship between aesthetic education and other forms of education, where they mutually permeate and interact. This idea inspired the writing of this book, which aligns with current concepts of aesthetic education. The unity between aesthetic education and intellectual education is reflected in two aspects. From the perspective of intellectual education, aesthetic education cannot be separated from intellectual education; it must be based on intellectual education. A person who has not received systematic intellectual education cannot deeply appreciate the beauty around them, especially the beauty of literature, art, science, and theory.
