Features: "Russian Situational Conversations" is designed for Chinese learners with a certain foundation in Russian. The book is divided into thirty-six units, each consisting of four parts: dialogues, vocabulary and expressions, speech etiquette (cultural norms in verbal communication), and exercises. The arrangement follows a dialogue-first approach, leading directly into communicative contexts, allowing learners to initially encounter and understand speech behavior patterns. Subsequently, the vocabulary and expressions section focuses on mastering the key vocabulary and expressions provided, while learners can expand their language knowledge using relevant reference materials. The speech etiquette section aims to help learners understand the cultural connotations of Russian language units, guiding appropriate speech behavior to ensure correct usage in communication. The exercises primarily focus on oral practice, with some also suitable for written practice (oral and written integration), enhancing learning effectiveness based on the characteristics of Chinese learners. This book is not a general Russian conversation manual but has a systematic textbook structure, requiring a foundation in Russian and teacher guidance, primarily intended for classroom teaching and learning. Self-learners can also use it as a reference. The guiding principle for writing this book is to provide Russian oral textbooks for undergraduate Russian majors in universities and advanced training courses. For oral instruction in undergraduate Russian majors, for example, starting from zero-level students, a semester course can be set up in the third or fourth semester of the second year, with a teaching time of two hours per week. For advanced training courses, the teaching time and schedule can be flexibly adjusted based on teaching needs.
