Features: On October 19, 1941, Zhou Zuoren's diary entry reads: "Selected twenty-one old articles and planned to publish them." On October 31, it reads: "Anto came, handed over twenty-one manuscripts, and planned to name it 'Medicine Flavor Collection.'" Except for the preface, the 'Medicine Flavor Collection' includes twenty-two articles. In April 1939, in 'Remembrance of Xu Tong,' the author wrote: "I don't want to speak for now. In today's world, whether it's about public or private matters, speaking out inevitably becomes mundane."
