It discusses the entire process of the emergence, development, and transformation of China's feudal economy under the constraints of the landlord economy system. The text is divided into two parts and seven chapters. The writing of this book is based on the decades-long research results of the two authors. Before its completion, dozens of articles on landlord economy were published, along with four monographs. Additionally, one unpublished work titled "Land Issue Materials" remains. Due to the thorough theoretical and material preparation, the book features a rigorous theoretical framework and rich, detailed evidence. In addition to inheriting the research achievements of predecessors, the book also proposes many new viewpoints and perspectives, which will play a role in advancing further research on the economic history of China. At the same time, some of these perspectives offer valuable insights for the healthy development of socialist economic construction today.
