Features: There are countless Chinese steles and rubbings, and many skilled calligraphers in China. However, due to the passage of time, many steles and rubbings, including those revered by calligraphers, have suffered varying degrees of damage to their characters and wear on their surfaces. To provide the best calligraphy models for modern learners, our publishing house has specially invited scholars to select and meticulously examine some famous steles and rubbings from past dynasties. They have supplemented missing characters, cleaned up faded traces, and restored the steles to their original, complete state, giving them a fresh and renewed appearance. The key to practicing calligraphy lies in mastering the rules of brushwork, and calligraphers have each had their unique styles. To facilitate learning, we have included diagrams illustrating the brushwork rules of various masters at the beginning of each rubbing. Calligraphy is a unique art in which the author expresses spiritual beauty through the writing of Chinese characters. A well-crafted stele is like a beautiful piece of prose. Skilled calligraphers can even transform ordinary characters into gold, leaving a lasting impression. To make it easier for learners to read and write, we have punctuated and appropriately annotated all the steles in this set of Newly Compiled Complete Masterpieces, and appended the full text in simplified horizontal format at the end of each rubbing, bridging the gap between the past and present. This way, the original texts are not only models for practicing calligraphy but also excellent works of literary appreciation. Our publishing house is launching five masterpieces by renowned calligraphers for the first time: Zhao Mengfu's Shoushentang, Liu Gongquan's Xuanshita, Yan Zhenqing's Dabota, Su Shi's Zui Ting Ji, along with their simplified versions. More masterpieces by famous calligraphers will be released.
