Features: There are many ethical issues in economics. The book discusses only seven of them, which are:
(1) Efficiency and Fairness;
(2) Property Rights Transactions;
(3) Macro-Economic Policy Goals;
(4) Individual Consumption Behavior;
(5) Individual Investment Behavior;
(6) The Cost of Economic Growth;
(7) A Reasonable Rate of Economic Growth.
This does not mean that I am only interested in the above seven issues, nor does it imply that these seven issues are more important than others. The reason I selected them for discussion is mainly because, during the transition from a traditional planned economy system to a socialist market economy system in China, people have talked a lot about these aspects. In life, some people make judgments about certain issues from this perspective, while others evaluate the same issue from a different perspective. Each person believes that their viewpoint is well-founded. So, which viewpoint is more in line with reality? Which viewpoint is more adaptable to the development trend of a socialist market economy? This requires exploration and analysis. Perhaps both viewpoints are reasonable, or perhaps neither is fully comprehensive. Could there also be a third or fourth viewpoint? Are these third or fourth viewpoints right or wrong? All of these also need to be discussed.
