Publishing Date: 2002-04-01
Features: For the convenience of readers, the chapters are organized according to important issues, with objectives outlined. In the modern book format, each section is divided into paragraphs, with each paragraph starting on a new line to clearly distinguish sections. Some entries of era names and years in this book do not align with other historical records, and there are also contradictions within the text, which have been retained as originally presented. There are several points in the book that are difficult to understand without annotations, as well as issues related to ancient Chinese history. To facilitate comprehension for those who cannot read Chinese, excerpts from the Chinese Comprehensive History of China and the Chinese Great Dictionary have been included, while other annotations are based on Tibetan sources. Efforts have been made to indicate the authors, titles, and page numbers of relevant reference materials, providing convenience for readers interested in further study of Tibetan history. A total of over 680 terms have been annotated. The historical account of Tibet from ancient times to the suppression of Buddhism by Langdarma is described quite briefly in this book.
