Features: Rule of law governance, building a socialist rule-of-law state, is the fundamental strategy our Party established for governing the country in the new era. It is the path chosen through long-term practice and exploration by the Party in leading the people of all nationalities in building socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is also an important goal outlined by the 16th National Congress for comprehensively building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. Rule of law governance requires practical drive, and (rule-of-law governance) is precisely the vivid practice of rule of law governance, a creative activity where the public manages public affairs through legal means, and a concrete embodiment of the Party's fundamental strategy for rule of law governance in local, sectoral, and grassroots management. Since 1986, when Benxi City in Liaoning Province pioneered (rule-of-law city governance), (rule-of-law governance) has rapidly expanded nationwide, creating many good experiences but also posing some urgent issues that need research and resolution. Theoretical summarization and discussion are necessary, and 《Introduction to Rule-of-Law Governance》 is an initial attempt in this regard. 《Introduction to Rule-of-Law Governance》 focuses on summarizing and discussing the following four aspects: First, the connotation, characteristics, objectives, foundational basis, developmental process of (rule-of-law governance), and its impact and significance on the economy and society, to scientifically position (rule-of-law governance); Second, the principles, basis, and goals of (rule-of-law governance), to accurately grasp the main principles, legal basis, and short-term and long-term goals that (rule-of-law governance) must follow from a macro perspective; Third, the subjects and content of (rule-of-law governance), analyzing who has the right to participate in (rule-of-law governance), particularly in terms of power restraint, affair governance, and grassroots self-management, in a relatively detailed manner; Fourth, the implementation, evaluation, and safeguards of (rule-of-law governance), discussing how to ensure the implementation of (rule-of-law governance) through mechanisms. To learn from the rule-of-law experiences and practices of major Western countries and (rule-of-law governance), this book includes an appendix at the end for a comprehensive introduction. This book is co-authored by scholars engaged in legal research and practitioners of (rule-of-law governance), providing a systematic discussion of the theoretical and practical issues of (rule-of-law governance) in China. As a specialized monograph for in-depth research on (rule-of-law governance), it has strong theoretical depth and will serve as a theoretical guide for the healthy development of (rule-of-law governance).
